Lifetime Developing ‘Unauthorized Full House’ Movie

Just in time for the forthcoming Full House reboot, Lifetime is planning to explore the on-and-off-screen struggles of the classic Nineties sitcom in The Unauthorized Full House Story, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The network’s latest tell-all follows The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story, the soapy exploration of another successful Nineties comedy and its off-screen drama which premiered on the network last fall. Ron McGee, the writer of Unauthorized Saved by the Bell, will also pen the Full House film. Lifetime has not set an air date and will begin casting for the feature immediately.

McGee will have plenty of material to cull from thanks to the release of multiple cast memoirs. Jodie Sweetin chronicled her struggle with methamphetamine addiction in 2010’s UnSweetined. Last year, Candace Cameron Bure released Balancing It All: My Story of Juggling Priorities and Purpose, while the show’s patriarch Bob Saget penned the less self-help-themed Dirty Daddy: The Chronicles of a Family Man Turned Filthy Comedian.
